I. Do Now: The Media is seen as one of the most important elements of society. Some authoritarian governments restrict the media to keep people from rising up. For over 200 years, the U.S. has given news organizations the right to cover what they please in the name of 'freedom'. Many blame modern-day racism on the media as they continue to portray many people in stereotypical roles. How important is the media? Where do you see the media going?
What should the media be covering?
II. Finish song lyrics - Today, you will work on your songs and some of them will have a chance to record your lyrics into these songs. One thing to keep in mind is that your lyrics must go well with the beat you have created. If you are collaborating with 1-2 other people, you must make sure your rhyme scheme goes well with each other. Work on your lyrics and then finish your garage band beats to make sure they go well together.
III. If you are ready to record your lyrics, see Mr. Amador for the mic. You will have only 15 minutes to record your vocals. Make sure to upload your garageband beat to the network. Mr. Amador will show you how.
the media is very improtant because it keeps us informed with what is going on in todays world. i dont see the media going anywhere its the same to me.it should be covering whatever's gping on in todays world.
ReplyDeleteI feel it can go both ways right are wrong its wrong for putting up of what they think about other cultures and other race. But on other hand they have the freedom to do what they please meaning in what they say freedom to speak as long as we have that then they'll keep doing what there doing.
ReplyDeleteI think the media i think does cover alot of things but not the most important things. And if they do cover it they take the longest to put it out there when things have happened already. They should try doing what they do best and inform people about whats really going on in the world and in the community.
ReplyDeleteI think the media will always talk bad/good upon any type of race because in now society people have opinions on anybody being stereotype. Also having the media let's us know what's going on and what we should worry about .
ReplyDeletei think that the media is very important. The media puts you up on game about whats happenin in the outside world. The media can inform you in many different ways for example the television, radios and thigs like that. Without the media we will not know whats happening out there.I see the media making money.
ReplyDeleteThe media to me is not important at all, however most people actually listen to the garbage they see and hear on their television. I see the media being what they have always been, so a useless pile of rotting corpses. I think that the media should be covering the bottom of the ocean, because that would be the best use for them.
ReplyDeleteMedia is important, because they keep us informed of whats going on in the world, and it allows us not to be so stuck on whats going on only in our own little communities. However, the media often abuses its power by only reporting what they feel is neccissary, or only what they want people to know. they can also easily make a story sound a certain way so that it will persuade the people to think the way they want them to think. And yet, it's all free speech, which is our most important amendment, so people need to learn to think with their own heads, and not believe everything they hear.
ReplyDeleteon a scale of 1-10 i would say that the media is a 8 because it informs people on what is going on around the worLd. the media should be covering important things such as breaking new , whats new , things that are happening in certain communities ..etc
