I. Do Now: Communism was supposed to have brought racial, gender, and economic equality by having a strong dictatorship that prevented the rich from controlling society. At the same time, communist governments were very authoritarian and limited rights such as freedom of speech and a free press. Many see this as an evil of communism yet many others see this as a necessity in order to keep the wealthy classes from controlling the poor. Would you give up your freedom of speech in order to have equality?
II. Music Quiz - Take the following Music Quiz (click here) and have Mr. Amador check you off when you have completed the quiz.
III. Communist Revolution Research - How many people have tried to bring equality to their own countries? Today you will research a communist revolution. You will begin by searching for "communist revolution" on google.com or on wikipedia.org. Pick any communist revolution. You will download the following research template (click here) and complete it. When you are finished, email the completed file to Mr. Amador (omar.amador.79@gmail.com). If you are not able to complete it, email the incomplete file to yourself and finish it for homework.
A country wouldn't have to give up freedom of speech or have a dictator ship to have equality. It's stupid to say that if you want some thing you have to have another thing with it, limitations like that will get humans no where. What humanity needs to be equal is to be attacked as a whole so that they may unite. Im not saying that there is no other option thats just one of many, and how would having a dictatorship be equality for all? There shouldn't be one leader there should be leaders, and they must live among the people.

ReplyDeleteIf everyone was willing to to give free quality then maybe I Will give up my freedom of speech. It will also depend on on how long it will last and what are the commands under it. Cheah Boy
ReplyDeleteI Honestly Don't Know because equality is never going to happen, no matter who would speak nobody will listen unless they really want equality. But in my point it would be nice if everybody was equaled the same then nobody will have to speak about it.

ReplyDeleteno because i want to say what i have to say without getting in trouble about it. that makes people unique because they have right to say and people couldn't agreed with them or not.If you take that away then that won't be equality.

ReplyDeletei honestly wouldnt give up my freedom of speech for equality. i dont think this world would ever have equality , it will always be someone who wants more than they can handel.
ReplyDeleteIt wouldnt make sense if i gave my freedom of speech off if we all were equal. Because if thy wanted us to all be equal we should still have our own opinion and not just be dictated. I think we should still have freedom of speech but still have equality.
