I. Blog Question - Obama has urged the country to start using Biofuel, a new type of energy that is made from organic material such as corn. The administration will start giving incentives such as tax cuts to businesses that will start using biofuel; a new source of energy that will save the environment and decrease our need for foreign oil. At the same time, this process will be very expensive, putting the cost on taxpayers or businesses. Should the country start using biofuel, even if it may cost you more money?
II. By today, you should have finished a song based on controversy. Controversy is an issue that can be debated easily by two opposing sides. Your song had to be based on something you feel strongly about and you feel needs to change.
If you are having trouble picking a song, here are a few topics:
Abortion, immigration, religion, war on terror, body image and beauty, race in the US., legalizing certain items, banning certain items, judicial system and the law, and the government to name a few.
Your song must have 2 - 4 stanzas, each having 4 bars or measures. Your song must also have a chorus (2 -4 bars or measures). This makes your song have a total of 10 - 20 lines (most have 16).
Make sure you use the rhyme scheme you learned on the wiki article and the ones you learned from Myron. Your lines should try to rhyme.

Yes I think that the country should start using biofuel even if it may cost more. Though it may be more expensive, I think this is better because it puts an end to the war and it would be better for our environment.
ReplyDeleteYES I THINK WE SHOULD USE BIOFUEL BEACUASE EVEN THOUGH ITS GOING TO COAST MONEY BUT IN A LONG RUN ITS GOING TO HELP OUR COUNTRY SAVE MORE MONEY. ALSO ITS GOOD FOR OUR ENIVORMENT.
ReplyDeleteAnswer For question Number One: I honestly don't know because no matter what we're still in a middle of crisis with having oil. And also people won't be able to afford it because of money cost. But if it's the only way we'll be able to get what we wanted then we might have to agree with it .
ReplyDeleteI think biofuel is the way to go, because for all we know peak oil is just around the corner. Our generation will suffer if we can't find alternative fuels, because it looks like when peak oil hits there will be real wars over oil. And I'm all for the environment, because a broken economy is easier to fix than a broken planet.
ReplyDeleteI think Biofuel is better to use because of the fact it doesn't pallute the air we breathe. Even though Biofuel is more expensive It would also bring the war were having to an end. Its going to help us out in the long run. I would advice when its available for everyone to change from oil to biofuel. Its Time For A Change Lol.

ReplyDeleteI think we should use biofuel instead of oil. One reason because its good for the environment plus there's a lot of it. Another reason is we have very little of the oil and we are going to war with other countries over oil. So in conclusion i think in the long run this will help us change our economy and help the environment.
ReplyDeleteI think biofuel is better for us because we need to start saving our earth and the way were going with that were not doing so good because were killing it and its not going to last like that. I don't think it will be a problem that the price is gonna be kinda high because price are ricing every were so if have money to waste on other things that we dont need and that are expensive why not waste it on something that can benefit us and save our planet.
ReplyDeleteI think by using biofuel it would be better for all of us. it will be a little bit more expensive but its going to help us at the long run. Even though i don't think it will stop the war because our country is to selfish to leave Iraq.
